I had a P1537 code, which means IMRC open error, I removed the intake/IMRC rails yesterday and found that indeed the right bank vacuum solenoid is bad. Man what a PITA! Any way, looking for good alternative sources for new (both) IMRC solenoids, IAC, EGR while I'm at it, cause I don't want to have to take get into this area again!
Any suggestions appreciated!!

I don't know of a good alternative source for these parts, only vendors that sell Ford parts at a discount.

Get an online quote from Fordpartsnetwork.com for all the goodies you need and then go to a Ford dealer locally and have them match it. If you set up a business account with them (they never check) you get 20% off everything anyway.

Good luck!

There really is no alternative to the IMRC plates other than the Ford parts or some of the aftermarket delete kits, which should NOT be used on stock motors with stock gears in the rear end because you will absolutely lose ALL low-end performance, so don't do that.

Well, after some phone work, and online work, I did find a local dealer to take $46 off each the list price of $206 each, so thats a little better. I have the plates soaking in the wash tank, and should have the parts by the afternoon.

What are your opinions regarding cleaning the IAC instead of replacing?

Replace on a 93-96 Mark...its worth it just because you're already in there. I wouldn't want to mess with a cleaned one that failed when the intake is back on!
