I'm going to the Texas Motorplex tomorrow (Sunday) hoping to find a set of heads. I'm leaning towards the twisted wedge heads. Any input as to what the best heads are for a stock lower end motor? I have a street heat intake waiting and have yet to consider a cam. My brother gave me a new set of 1.7 rocker arms. I also have an A9L to convert to mass air. Just thought I might find a good deal at the track. My last LSC ran pretty good with just an upgrade to 3.73 gears. My new car is a 1992 LSC. No mods. Lemme hear what you have to say..... Thanks!

I am a huge fan of AFRs. If you can find pedestal mount EVERYTHING is a direct bolt on.

I've been told the TWs require re-engineering the exaust gas crossover that bolts to the back of the heads.

Other than that, whatever you can afford!

As a side note...please email me.

stock bottom end and cubes i would get some AFR 165s and a trickfow trackheat intake. And thats speaking from experience. I had some Twisted wedge heads and i liked em but i think the 202 valve is a little much for a stock motor

When I went head shopping,
was quite budget limited.

Happened to find a low miles
set of 1.9 intake Ebrocks for
$600.

Have since read they flow within
5% or so of the 2.02 intake version.

They're not maybe "the latest &
greatest" tech, but from what I've
read they're still pretty close,
& a heck of an improve over stock.

Point being, depending on your budget,
don't overlook any of the "modern"
heads. I agree AFR's would be my
first choice, too, for a street head
on a relatively stock bottom end.

Good luck w/your search!

You could always go this (http://www.thumperoforangepark.com/) route. I have heard from a few Mustangers that this is an awesome setup.

What aftermarket heads fit on an E6 motor with flat top pistons?
