Anybody use the "White Face" gauges? Any pros or cons?

They're still only marked up to 95 MPH and some glow entirely green like a cheap Timex. tongue.gif I like my stock face gauges, even if they aren't as eye catchy. Perhaps I'd be more swayed by having just the gauges and not the entire panel white. It's some work to put it in too. You end up removing the instrument cluster, which necessitates disassembling the upper dash.

I put mine in almost a month ago and I like it. I also completly disassembled my cluster, painted the plastic face and the tach part white (the guages don't cover everything) and replaced the lights with red 5-led bulbs. Now my needles are white at day, red at night. Still needs work though as the red "leaks" around the corners and the needles aren't as bright as I want them to be. I'm working the rest of the dash lighting to match. I'm redoing a tripminder now by removing the white/blue inserts under the buttons. Now the buttons are all black until the lights come on. I have pic's but nowhere to put them. The junkyards have given me alot of parts to "experiment" with without messing up the ones in my car. I also keep the originals for an easy return to stock config. I'm also open to suggestions, criticizm and to a small degree, parts requests. Many will think I'm nuts to do this to my Mark but I love the "WTF" look when people look at it.

Holy crow! You painted the Lincoln stars in the cornering lamps! I've been meaning to chrome mine, but my lamps have been sitting disassembled for a year. :D Nice to see how it looks. Nice job with the SE look too.

Thank y'all, Y'all just too kind! :D
And I'm not done yet. The downside is that now I need to find another grey Mark to keep original. But that won't be for a little bit yet. (-$$$) :(

OK, I got one of these things and installed it. Piece of cake - two days later I took it out and modified it to get rid of the two BRIGHT light show looking circles and now it looks much better. Must reinstall it, only bench tested so far. I like the daytime white and it looks great at night without the too bright circles. Anyone have any ideas about the needles/hands? At night they show up black and not too easy to see.
