Has Anyone Heard Of Swapping Out The Powerbooster From A MarkVII To One That Is Run From The Powersteering Pump??

If So Is This A Good Alternative?

I've Also Heard OF A Recall On The Brake Systems Of Mark VII's Is This Ford's Replacement System?

I've seen cars that have a brake boost from the PS, but there's nothing wrong with Ford's electric motor pump system.

Hard to say about swapping an electric pump for a mechanical one, but automakers are ramping up for 40V electrical systems to take as many of the full-time mechanical loads off the engines as possible, including the mechanical power steering pump.

A recall on a Mark VII? Now? How quaint.

BTW, What Is The Idea Of Capitalizing The First Letter Of Every Word In A Sentence?
It's really annoying and makes it harder to read.

I'm not sure what you are wanting to do here. What year vehicles do you want to changeover?

Yes it has been done. All Marks in 1984 used Hydroboost (the powersteering thingy you mentioned) and you can easily swap out your ABS system to the 1984 system.

It is harder than going to a vacuum master cylinder but hydroboost is worth it from my personal experience.

the hydroboost system was assigned to the 84s, in my opinion, anyway, due to the planned (and implemented) diesel engine option...diesels don't develop the needed manifold vacuum for a standard booster...this design was done back during the diesel 'better mileage' craze; the gm diesels all used hydro...

possibly the hydro went into all the 84s not just for uniformity, but because it is indeed a robust, effective system...

however, drawbacks include added operating noise (whine, buzz, etc) and the routing of added hydraulic lines underhood...as well as the aforementioned added parasitic engine load...

No its been around since the 70s in Lincolns. I love the hydroboost in my Mark V. But it still isn't as good as the system in my '83 Continental...which was the system the Mark VII "stole" as it was developed in the early 80s.
