Ouch. How's Ford gonna compete with the Euro-Lux sedans? I think the Zephyr has a decent chance of holding its own against some of the import market, but now there won't be anything to throw against the BMW, Mercedes, and Audi lineups. Or are they gonna start from scratch and take another crack at a sport sedan?

Yea, i read that the LS is stopping production after 2007 becasue sales dropped an astounding 18% t his year. The article said they may also close the legendary Wixom plant....o well.
Now...i thought i read somewhere that Lincoln will be unveiling 3 brand new concepts never seen by the public. These area supposed to be part of the new lineup. Lets really hope they make a Mark with a cobra engine in there, and a continental NOT based on anything Mazda. Lincoln needs a arebirth fo the Continental. My dad told me when he was younger how the Conti was the prestige of all American luxury. "Continental" meaning to compete with the high end European cruisers.

The LS will probably be the most performance-minded Lincoln ever made...its replacement will be a bloated Volvo-derived car and will probably be called a Continental.
The LS will have a huge cult following once they get fully depreciated. Its like the new Mustang, but with a much better suspension and way more luxury. Sound familar to all the Mark VII fans?

Very sad. :( I like the LS. Ford nedds to pull there head out of there ass and start competing again.

With gas prices going higher all the time, with no likelihood of retreat as the developing world demands its share, and the huge discount programs underway on U.S. products, the car makers in this country are in dire jeopardy of facing a huge decline in demand for some of their most profitable models. The price of a used LS around here is still hovering around $20k, but if I didn't need something more utilitarian and/or hadn't decided my LSC is going to be my one passenger car, I'd be tempted by a sweet deal on one of the hotter LS models.
