They've been used in a lot of movies. They're easy enough to obtain and relatively cheap. :(

My post didn't get sent, so here's the short list.

1. '57 Futura concept car, became the original batmobile for the TV show (just in case nobody knew that)

2. 68-71 Mark III in the French Connection (recommended)

3. 70s Mark V in CB4

4. 84-87 Continental in The Apostle (never saw it, they dumped the car in the trailer so I boycotted it ;) )

5. White 1983 Conti in Waynes World. It jammed on the brakes to avoid the Pacer. Same car (more than likely) was used in a chop-shop scene in some action adventure movie with Bruce Willis.

6. 70s Mark IV in the original Gone in 60 Seconds (recommended)

Classiclincolns.com has a good selection of movie Lincolns too. Check it out.

I don't remember that Martin Short movie. It wasn't the one where he plays a klutz right?

Isn't the French Connection a big car movie? What's the one where the director speeds through Paris in his own Ferrari?

How about the Alanis Morrisette video. She is riding around with three other people(she plays all the passengers in the car) in a dark blue and tan Mark V.

When Pepsi One was first introduced, there was a commercial with Cuba Gooding,Jr. fighting a bunch of Matrix-y looking bad-guys. They drove an all-blacked-out Mark V that was blown to smithereens in the commercial.
As Bob and Doug would say..."It blowed up real good!"

In several episodes of 'Starsky & Hutch', the bad guys drove Mark IVs and Vs.

Good job, Pepsi really should have given me that black Mark V instead of blowing it up. Of course, the bomb didn't do much to the car, all things considered. That commercial was a sad moment in the 1999 Superbowl.

The Depeche Mode song "Dream On" (2000?) had a gorgeous all black custom Mark IV. It was driving in the desert at night...the interior shots were an 80s Coupe Deville, though. I guess those Marks are hard to get a camera and three band members in. smile.gif

Hi Josh

Most(if not all) of Eyes Wide Shut was filmed here in the U.K. the guys I bought my 88 TC from (Dream Cars (http://www.dreamcars.co.uk)) supply cars for film companys to use.

In the film you may also notice a yellow Chevy Caprice and a red Buick roadmaster station wagon parked up in severall scenes, they were also for sale when I bought the TC.

Here are a few I know of:

1.)"The Junkman" same guy that did the orginal "gone in 60 seconds". there is a 1977 or 1978 Mark 5, white with lt blue int. that gets blown up

2.)"The North Avenue Irregulars", it was a 1978 Walt Disney film. There were two 1977/78 Mark 5's. One was red and the other was tan, the tan one gets totaled in the end with a 1976 Ford Country Squire, a 1967/68 Ford Galaxie drop top, a 1958 Jag, and a few others

3.)"Save The Tiger", it is a 1973 film with Jack Lemmon. He drove a silver with black top Cont' 4-door

4.)"Breezy", this was a 1974 film directed by Clint Eastwood. the main charachter drove a 1972/73 Cont', I think it was met. light blue or silver with a black top also.

Well thats all know that hasent been typed yet on this board.

I am almost positive there are Lincolns galore in "Analyze This " and "Analyze That"
My PS2 is hooked up right now so I will have to check the DVD of the first movie later to verify. Oh and I kind of liked the Martin Short movies and the one you are thinking of is "Pure Luck" and Stanley Kubrick was a very twisted indivdual. Still do not understand "Eyes Wide Shut" and I do have a above normal IQ. "OH great isn't that magical," I just set myself up big time. Usually I am too busy pointing all of the BS with the gunplay (drives my wife nuts)to notice cars. But "I can change if I have too, I suppose." HE he he

I was watching some old movie with Cahrlie Sheen in it the other day, and he was a passenger in a turbo Carrera that was making a get-a-way from 77-79 era Mark V!
Somehow, the Mark was able to keep up with the Porsche for quite a while, dodging and weaving through city traffic.

It looked a lot like a 1977 Givenchy, IIRC. It was Green, and I thought it had a chamois top and side trim.

It got hammered by a Dodge pickup, but still chased down the Porsche pretty well. In Hollywood terms, that is. smile.gif
