Hi Dereck....God Forbid, I most certainly hope not. That would be truly outrageous. We would have to seek out those responsible and punish them harshly.

Odds are the site got cleaned up to save space and your thread fell victim.
Any complaints can be sent to the webmaster. She's standing beside the giant turbine engine and is ready to throw ya in there. ;)

Are informative threads that would benefit everyone saved? Things that are techy but haven't been made into dedicated tech articles yet?
It's information like that, saved on the board somewhere, that will help rank the site in the search engines, not to mention come in handy to new members.
Watch what you delete.

Its called the Archives. The Lounge is the only place where Karl's comment applies.
Anything TECH related that is posted here is immediately moved to the correct model forum for future archiving.

I use the 30 day rule in the lounge to keep the space down some, anything of importance such as tech items or other informative posts get moved to their respective forums (Mark VII, Mark VII, etc.) and will be archived from there.

Hi All
Seeing how all the other Wheel Societies threads are still available in the lounge, I believe Thw Turbine Wheel Society was unfairly singled out for deletion.
I hearby accuse the Moderator of this forum, that in a jealous fit of rage owing to the unpopularity of his own Torque Thrust Wheel Society (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=000913) he delibratly with malice aforethought deleted the Turbine Wheel Societies homepage.
Unable to match the huge membership, opulent headquarters and sheer magnificence of the Turbine Wheel, he desperatlty tried to erase all traces The Turbine Wheel Society.
However like the Phoenix, the mighty Turbine Wheel shall rise from the ashes stronger than ever.

The AWACS shouldn't be that close to a fire zone though. The Boeing E3 isn't that fast of an aircraft, it's at too high of a risk to get shot down by SAMs.
So you don't want to go that old school, why not send in a little F-14D Tomcat? Fleet defender, capable of striking 6 individual targets from over 100 miles away - before most people even know its there. smile.gif

Hi All
You just can't keep a good appreciation society down, as predicted the Turbine Wheel Appreciation Society is rising from the ashes, like the Phoenix it will once again spread its wings bringing joy to to many millions of people worldwide.
We allready have a new logo
http://lincoln.superstitiongold.com/pictures/TurbineSignature.jpg
Our humidor is well stocked with Cohibas fresh from Cuba and our cellar has some of the finest Wines and Cognacs from around the world.
Our sumptuous connelley leather armchairs are so inviting next to the roaring log fires in our Oak panelled lounges.
So gather round fellow Turbine connoissuers we are once again open and taking in new members all the time.

Hi All
We are also still here Steve smile.gif
I am making this post from one of the opulent lounges at the Turbine Wheel Appreciation Society's new headquarters.
As I luxuriate in my connolly leather armchair in front of a roaring open log fire, gently puffing on a hand rolled Cuban Cohiba with a glass of Napoleon brandy on the King George V side table, surveying the fine works of art adorning the mahogany panelled walls of one of the Society's lounges, I think to myself other wheel appreciation societies can only dream of matching the magnificence of the mighty Turbine Wheel.

I tryed Lawd knows I tryed.
I looked at a set of turbines I cleaned a set of turbines and I still cant see what in the world you could ever want with them.
The only thing I can say for sure is I am so glad Lincoln did not make a pair for the V6 Conti.
My purple car has a set that looks quite a bit like a Turbine wheel but I just tell myself they are not.
I really hate to quit driving it if I am told otherwise.

Just thought I’d drop in to the Headquarters for a fine smoke, a finer drink and stimulating conversation. There really is no need for saber rattling, the realities of the beauty of the Turbine will win out. As a woman does not need a diamond to make her beautiful, neither does a fine automobile need a certain wheel to be attractive. But just as the light from perfectly cut facets can highlight the natural charm of the lady wearing it, so too does the geometric precision of the Turbine accentuate the lines of a fine automobile. Diamonds and Turbines are forever.
Peace.

Hi All
Settle down guys, all this talk of war directed at the Lace Wheel Appreciation Society makes us no better than President Bush.
We should not be talking of war but taking pity on our Lace Wheel loving friends for they no not what they do, they have been corrupted by the evil that is the Lace Wheel, it is an addiction they cannot control.
I propose that the ever benevolent Turbine Wheel Appreciation Society set up a fund to help the less fortunate, and further to that end, we set up a clinic (Similar to the Betty Ford Clinic) to wean these misguided individuals from the dark side of Lace Wheel Appreciation and show them the shinning light of Turbine Wheel Appreciation.
I also ask all members of the Turbine Wheel Appreciation Society to raise a glass to our new Public Relations Officer, in recognition of his unending devotion and untiring defence of the Turbine Wheel, ladies and gentlemen please welcome Skarhed as our new P.R officer.
One final piece of business, we have just struck a deal with Little Debbie to deliver a daily supply of cakes fresh from the bakery and still warm.

Megaforcer I had gotten a phone call about two days ago from the woman with the turbine wheels, she has them off and in town at her shop. I popped over to look at them and she had the shop locked up because she is having her baby, Her boyfriend should be around today so I will get the snapshots.
As much as I hate to do it I will post them as soon as I can get them.
I want to make you people happy, even if I have to turn you over to the dark side.
I hope you like writing on cave walls.
It sounds as if you should be able to pick them up for $50. plus shipping, we get a corperate discount from UPS so it should be cheap. ;)

Pro, I see it this way.
Sometime kids will find happiness with the most gosh awful things you have laid eyes on, if they’re happy what can you do but to accept the ugly thing they want into your life. This is what I do for the members.
I just encourage them to keep the lace wheels, they will come to there senses and I would not want them to feel out of place when they want to come back to the protective arms of the Lace Wheel Appreciation Society.
