That's right, my Ford-only fleet was tainted a couple months back when we picked up an '89 Grand Am as an econo-car, and then last night I picked up a '96 Cavalier for free to serve as a get-around while the VIII is getting some much-needed attention and the VII still isn't street-legal.

Oh well, free is good, even though it's a Cheby. :D The 30+mpg on 87 octane is kinda nice too. The VIII's doin' pretty good gettin' around 25mpg right now because I'm doing a lot more straight-line non-stop driving, but it's just not happy in the heat.

Oh well, it's got some new sensors waiting to go on, some new mounts and bushings, and a brace or two. Should be fun. :cool:

Nothing that hasn't been wrong with it since I bought it. My budget lets me fix one or two things at a time, and I just got some diff bushings, motor and tranny/crossmember mounts, so those are going on as soon as I finish with everyone elses' cars. Plus, I'm finishing fabbing up a diff/pinion brace based on this one:

Then since I'll be dropping the front crossmember to install motor mounts, I'll be changing the front swaybar bushings, fixing that damn exhaust leak once and for all by welding in a new piece of flex pipe, and replacing the oil pan gasket which has leaked since I bought the car.

All this while it's 115* out. :(
