I know everyone is probably tired of these questions but I have the vinyle eyebrows from Ken and just wondering if these will melt when I put my headlight in the oven. and also I have a gas oven but I have access to an electric oven which one do you guys think I should use.

You PRE-HEAT the oven, then TURN IT OFF, and THEN put the headlight in the oven, placed on a COLD cookie sheet. Based on that, gas or electric will make no difference, since the heating medium is removed.

You'll melt the light if you don't turn the oven off. Just guessing here.

Here's a quick guide to taking the headlight apart. This will not work if your 2000-2002 LS headlights have black glue. It will only work with headlights having the grey glue.

this is an automated reply - Headlight Moisture (or how to clear out your amber turn signal corners):

1)take the headlamps out
- remove the upper plastic rad cover by removing the four turn plugs
- pull the outside temperature sensor off the plastic rad/bumper cover
- remove the plastic rad/bumper by pulling out the three plugs holding it in
- remove the headlamp by remove the three 8mm screws
- unplug the wiring harness

2)remove all three bulbs
3)use a hair dryer to dry out the moisture
4)if the water has not made the inside messy, simple seal up the edge of the housing using silicon and re-install
5)if you have to take the housing apart to clean the inside of the lens, the pre-heat the oven to 250, remove the three metal clips from the bottom of the housing, bake for 8 mins, pull apart
6)clean the inside up
7)good time to pull out the amber reflectors for your turn signals (just break them loose and trim up any loose pieces)
8)push back together, put back into the oven for 5 mins and then squeeze it all tight, the re-seal it with silicon.

This has worked best for me since I take apart about 6 sets of headlights per week for angel eye installation. I've never had a headlight melt.

how come everyone could get their headlights apart so damn easy, and my gray glue would not get soft enough to pry the halves apart. i wonder if the previous owner had fogging problems, and went & got them fixed cuz i had the oven at 250 turned it off, put the headlight in there for 8 minutes, glue was sticky, but not quites soft enough, eventually tried several more minutes, and cranked up the oven to 280, left it on, put the headlight in there for 8 more minutes, and that stuff would not get soft enough for me to pry it apart w/a screwdriver!!!

i gave up, cuz by the time i pried half of the light up with a screwdriver, the glue had hardened again, and had no success trying for like 45 minutes. so i quit!!! :(

It's PRE-HEAT oven to 400º F, turn oven OFF, place headlight on cold cookie sheet in TURNED-OFF oven and let it heat soak for 10 minutes. Work HOT headlight while wearing gloves and use table knife to separate lens from housing WHILE the assembly is still hot.

I had to use a razor blade to kinda slice through the last bit of glue but it worked fine it just takes quite abit of effort. Also try the top of the light first you have to prior the three plastic clips apart then use the knife to pry the edges.
