HI, I just found this forum today, I have a 2001 LS sport with the chrome wheels and have had two tires go flat in the last week- I haven't had ANY tires go flat in maybe ten years, so this is disturbing- especially since in both cases there is sidewall damage from the fifty or so feet I drove before I noticed. Of course, since it is in the zero degree range here in Chicago, I am even more upset, and since I am still riding on the spare from the first incident last night involved a tow (thank you Lincoln Customer Commitment)
Has anyone else experienced mystery loss of air in these tires/wheels?
Thanks,
Eric

Most likely bead separation at the wheel/tire, or bead separation at the valve stem/wheel. It could also be porous castings in the wheels, or a tire rubber compound that doesn't like cold weather. Firestone dealers are usually good at finding/fixing these problems.
