LS Trannies

Not trying to start any trouble here, but I was in my local dealer's shop a few days back and visited with my ace tech Lisa (She is the one with two huge pink toolboxes) and she was working overtime all week doing R&Rs on LS gearboxes. She is pretty tight lipped about problems so I don't ask too many questions. Just wondered if this is a soft spot on these very nice looking vehicles.
BTW, they were all automatics and all were getting FMC reman replacements.

The trannies in most Fords have been a weak spot for years and years... smile.gif

The trannys in the 2000s have problems. My 2000 has been in the shop 4 times and had the tranny replaced. I still have the same problems. There is a TSB about erractic shifting at around 20 mph. The dealership agreed to buy the car back. I am swapping out for a sport and hope this car is not as bad as my current 2000.
