Lincoln LS tires upgrade

I am planning to upgrade the 17 inch rims to 18 inch rims and tires. I would like to know if it will affect the suspension of the car. IS IT SAFE TO DO IT? Please help.

There should not be any problem with 18" wheels, however, you will need to go to a lower aspect ratio tire to maintain about the the same tire diameter. If you are going to wider wheels and tires you may need to check for clearance, that is you don't want any tire rub, especially when the front wheels are turned all the way. Finally, be aware that going to larger diameter wheels with lower aspect ratio tires will most likely give you a harsher ride, that is you will feel any pavement imperfections much more.
