Well I would like to open by saying that I have enjoyed the LLSOC website as much as I have enjoyed owning my LS-V6. Thanks for this forum to.

my question to all you astute LS owners has to do with a noise that comes from my drivers side window while being moved up or down. It makes this horrible shrilling sound but I don't see any wear marks inside or out that would lead me to think there is metal on glass. Please help....

Thank in advance.

You may have a tiny stone or sand pebble lodged in the furry part of the outer door to window weather stipping. Shine a flashlight across the glass to look for a small scratch starting, then try to clean that area of the weather strip with the window rolled down. A toothbrush should work.

This is the TSB for that problem. 00-04-03. Hope this helps. BTW, it's on the club site too.

I was wondering if TSB's are covered as warranty repair by Lincoln.... Thanks again.

well I have my appointment set for thursday. Wish me luck; the last time I went in was to have the drivers side seat heating element replaced. Only while it was there my beatiiful black paint got scratched to hell and back. Seems someone thought the roof of my car would make a good parts bench and they deeply scratched my drivers side door panel and the plastic cover for the drivers side-impact air bag. All was replaced or repaired but left me deeply hurt knowing that my car had suffered so badly and I wasn't there to comfort it.

What dealership did you take it to? I'm in Tampa also. The Autoway Lincoln-Mercury dealer in Clearwater won the President's Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction for 2000. They are the only one in the Tampa Bay area and only six won that award in Florida.

Greetings JC. Glad to find someone in the florida area with an LS. It looks like most everybody else is from a land far far away.

I take my car to Northgate LM only because I know the shop now. Plus I live in Brandon and although there is a LM dealer here in brandon i choose to keep going over to Florida Ave since I am creature of habit.

JC have you changed the exhaust or intake on your LS yet? I really would like to get some more punchout of this otherwise great car; as a creature of habit I still speed even though i am not in a rice burner any more.

Thankks for the 411 about the clearwater shop. If these guys goof up again you can bet I will make the drive.
