I want to where it is so i can find which ECU is in my 2000 LS V-8. Then I'm contacting DiabloSport to see if they make a chip.
Thanks, Eddie

Hey man have you been to Edmunds.com to join the Lincoln LS board there. You will find it has lots of traffic and the only reason I point this out is because I have read that there can be some very negative effects on the car if you do mod-chip it. Here is the link, http://townhall-talk2.edmunds.com/WebX?50@219.vxdva1ZiTIe^0@.eea34f2/7231. You may have to create an accoutn there but there are lots of experienced people in this forum including and occasional visit by ford engineers that work on the LS project. Good luck

Also, you may want to check out the LS owners club, llsoc.com, although the message board is now only open to LLSOC members.
Also you should check out a Car & Driver
article from a year or so ago. They tested several cars, BMW, Mustang GT & others with stock & aftermarket chips. They used a rear wheel dyno and the conclusion was that all of the aftermarket chips did nothing.
On Edmunds and LLSOC there has been a lot of discussion on opening up the air box (where the air filter is) and aftermarket exhaust systems. For 2002 the LS airbox was changed to provide a larger air opening. You can buy a 2002 air box for about $150 from fordpartsnetwork.com or just cut open your existing airbox as described at LLSOC. LLSOC has a project car that they have been working on installing a larger diameter air tube from the air box to manifold. Borla & others have low restriction exhaust systems for the LS.
Finally, LLSOC has been testing new mass mass air flow sensors and have found like the chips they don't accomplish much.

I think that mass air would be a much more effective mod then a chip and it wont affect driveability at all, just more power.
