Stuck front brake rotors

Does anyone know how to get the front brake rotors off? I was told they are free floating but they will not come off. I tried tapping them with a hammer incase the rust was holding them and nothing. Does anyone have any advice?

Take a bigger hammer and bang them. Often times, a light tap won't do. Keep banging and they will come off. You won't damage anything if your aim is decent. :D

I've never had my rotors off - but know that they have 2 little locking washers on the threaded bolts. Snip those off and the rotors should come right off. Then they will always tilt when you remove a wheel.

Make sure you've removed the calipers first! :eek:
