Just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought a 00 LS8 this weekend. I actually pick it up 1st thing in the a.m.(6/25) I've found this site extremely useful. I hope I don't run into some of the problem that are listed. I did buy the extended service plan for 3yr/36k. This is the 1st "american" car that I have bought in the 12yrs I've been driving. Welcome from the other corner of PA!

The 2000 had some small issues that hopefully were all taken care of - before you bought the car (ie. window regulators in the rear doors, transmission software reflash, to name a few.)

The things you may encounter with a 2000 are - the COP's (Coil on Plug) will short out and cause a miss (esp. with moisture), The little license plate lights' plastic tabs break and they drop down a little and are loose, and bushing thumps/suspension sounds.

The LS was the 3rd Lincoln in my 14 years of driving - so I've always been a loyal fan. I still own 3 of the 4 that I've bought. (I just can't seem to let go.)
