It is not the motor is it? Is a window regulator a fancy name for the window switch? The part number is yw4z-5423209-aa.

It is the left rear window, behind the driver. It is doing the same thing that happened to the other two windows. Those were under warranty when fixed so I have the invoices for those. The warranty expired last month!

It is not my car. It is a friends. He took the door panel apart. He thinks the window motor is the regulator. I think it is a window motor lol. How do we know what is the regulator?

hi. your friend is confused with the window parts. well first, window motor is just a part of the window regulator.and the switch is the one you click on to adjust your window. check out this site..partstrain.com they probably have pics for window regulators and you might want to buy, the warranty expired, isn't it?

First, have them approach the dealer about an AWA (After Warranty Adjustment). Typically a dealer will perform one AWA shortly afer the 50K warranty has run out. However, it's strictly on a dealer by dealer basis. If they have a good relationship with the dealer then it's possible.

If you can't get the dealer to fix the switch just do a Google search on the part number. I've had real good luck with www.fordpartsnetwork.com (http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com) in finding OEM parts much cheaper than the dealer. I don't know how difficult of a job it is to replace the window regulator for the average DIY'er.

Try the dealer first regarding the AWA.
