Just curious, what's it like to have a seat that cools down ? I see there's new developement in this area all over the web... (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=climate+controlled+seats)

Don't know that it's the first; the 1966 Ford GT-40 (the "street" version that you could buy from a Ford dealer for a mere $20,000 or so) had liquid cooling lines under the seating surfaces as part of the A/C package. smile.gif

The heated/cooled seats are great for us in the Atlanta market. Don't think I would have used the cooling feature much while we were in Michigan, but it sure keeps you comfortable in the 80+ degree days we get most of the year.
There is just enough air movement to keep you cool on your back and lower extremities, without being cold. I havn't looked but I understand there is an air filter for the air that is pumped up through the seat. Guess they thought of everything. smile.gif

I know Saabs, I think specifically the 9-5 had the heated/cooled seats before Lincoln. Thanks for the trivia tidbit, ekooke! I LOVE car trivia.
