Hello,
I have a '99 180" stretch Navigator 4x4 limousine that I recently picked up from an auction. We have added some 22" rims and Nitto Terra Grappler 325-50 tires. welp, after we load some passengers into the vehicle, the front suspension will start dropping/sagging 3" or more and of course cause the tires to rub inside the fender well. The front air compressor/suspension has not operated since I got this vehicle. Thought I had come with a temporary fix by jumping the 2 large wires that run to the relay. I ran the compressor for a couple minutes that way and the front did come up about 3". Add any weight, things start sagging. The rear suspension has coil springs and air shocks. No problem there.

I have ordered from strutmasters, the front conversion kit to convert from air to coil over shock. Has anyone else done business with strutmasters and have converted their Navigator 4x4 front suspension? Also, was wondering if I might obtain a bit more height/stiffness by adjusting the torsion bars? The adjusting bolts in the torsion bars look to be turned all the way out.

I'll have the coil over shocks tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone else has converted etc.

Thanks!

Nick

Considering the GVW of the truck, I would think heavier duty parts would be needed. Perhaps the springs from the F150 snow plow package would be better.

What is the weight change from the origional truck to the limo??? Of the top of your head?

Did you tell them it was a limo when you called?
