I am going tommorow to have 255/50/16 drag radials put on the back of my car....
BF Goodrich Comp T/A drag radials.
These are going on my stock rims (16)
Has anyone ever tried to get this size tire onto the stock rims??? any info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,

The Dunlop tire application chart wants 8" width for the 255/50/16 tire (Sport 5000)
you didn't day what brand you were buying.

This is a little tire 101 from Dunlop. It discusses the various trade offs and effects of what your doing.

I've had that size BFG Drag Radials on my Mark for several months with no problems. At the strip I use 20 lbs pressure. Around town I use 30 lbs.

Thanks guys...
Jack,
that is very good to hear. My mind is at ease now. I was worried they were too big for the rim. How do you like them? Do you only use them for the track?
They say that they are pretty good on the street....but with a posi Im worried about the rain.

Hi John, These tires have great traction. I've got 3.73 gears & Traction-Lock. I rarely bark the tires into 2nd since I put them on. I haven't had any problems with driving in the rain but I'm carefull. They don't handle as well as the Mishlins but I like them. Most of the roads here in Florida are streight and flat. Kinda like my favorite gitrlfriend! LOL!
