speakers

please help!!!
i have a 97 mark VIII and i need to know what size all the speakers are in the car. upper and lower door, rear seat and package tray area. also will a din and a half stereo fit?

Take a looksy at my Mark VIII stereo install.

Fronts are 5x7's with a 1" or so tweeter in the enclosure up top. There are 5x7s in the rear seat area, and none on the package shelf.

Din and a half will work, but I think you need a double DIN headunit to look right in the car. smile.gif

Nope. The bass comes from the rear speakers. I replaced the JBL system in my 1993 model and saw it for myself.

The amplifier and a few computers sit in a plastic basket on the parcel shelf. No room for a sub over there!
