Press Off and Floor buttons simutaniously and then push Auto button within 2 Seconds. All AC/Heat functions cease while in Diagnostic mode. To exit diagnostic mode press Blue button. Since you didn't give model year of car I'm useing 95 specs.

No, you have to press and Hold both the OFF and Floor buttons at the same time(try with one hand) and then within 2 seconds press the Auto button(with the other hand). I Don't know if you should release the "Off/Floor" buttons just before pressing Auto, try it both ways. I tried this with mine last summer and couldn't draw a code but it was only low on R-12 so I don't think the computer recognizes the low condition as a fault. I ended up converting to R-134.

Someone from Houston TX sent me a link to this website that enables you to run a self diagnostic test to see if there are any problems with the EATC before you do any work. It worked on my '98 Mark VIII. http://www.aircondition.com/dsmobileac/eatc.html

It never gave me any error codes and the problem didn't go away either. I searched the same website and found someone who devised a cheap fix. I've tried this and it works.

In my case where the car was blowing hot, I turned the temperature to the coldest setting and turned the engine off, let it remain for 5 sec and turned it back on and it was blowing cold ok. I think the process just resets the blower settings. You can try the same thing but turn the temperature all the way up. If it doesnt work let me know and ill try to find something.

Best of luck!
