I,v heard of tires come of... paint peel off , even SKIN peel off smile.gif .. but to have a HOOD peel off :eek:, now thats a new one :D , I BET THIS is the first time any one of you have ever seen something like this, but if you have seen one please TELL ME there might be a recall or something i mist, the adhesive holding the top section of the hood to the bottom section looks Roted to me, check your car... you Might have one coming soon ;) . just follow this URL to see Pic's. Yup, that's the beauty of a plastic hood! I've seen chunks broken off of the hood "shell" when a Mark VIII rear ends a tall SUV.

There was a recall for the '95 Mustang a while back. My son-in-law's car was recalled a couple of years ago. I don't know exactly what they did, but it took a couple of days and involved painting.
I would approach FOMOCO to solve your problem if I were you. If a hood peeled at highway speed, it could be a real safety problem.

Guess what... I'm not the only mark VIII that had this problem, I went to my local AUTO ZONE, and the guy that works there just ran out and told me it happened to him too!!!
He replaced the hood but he did some checking, and told me that aftermarket hoods consist of one peace fiberglass, factory hoods have two peaces, held together with some glue and some silicone.. The solution for the factory hood is to have the edges seemed then coated and painted ( LONG PROCESS ) but anyhow for now I'm going with a used hood, which I will modify later
