Can anyone give a good source for Rear Shocks for a 93 Mark VIII with electronic shock dampener. I've checked all the major manufacures with no luck.

Thanks for the help,
Russ

I called Pep Boys, O'Reillys, Napa, etc. and got the same answer from all of them - 'dealer item only'

Now if only I could find volunteers to install the darned things . . . . ;)

The solution for us was to eliminate the dampiner shocks in the rear to make room for KYB performance shocks. The dampiners work to stiffen the shocks during hard braking to keep the rear from lifting. Because we're running wide tires and have lowered the suspension, we prefer the suspension to be stiff all of the time.

The modification required us to fabricate a mounting plate for the new shock. 8 dollar item at the hardware store.

Anyway, thanks for the help!
Russ ;)
