Hi,
I have a 94 Mark VIII, I think an LSC, am new to this group, and have a question... I recently put Michelin Symmetry tires on my car and have noticed a rougher ride. Is there a tire grade or type that will improve the ride comfort without sacrificing the handling??

If you have a 94 it's not an LSC. Lincoln didn't offer them up until 1995. Some people have warranty cards that say LSC. As to tires, the sidewall height has the most effect on ride. the shorter the aspect ratio the harsher the ride. The Mark is standard at 225XR60 if you went with R50 profile you would get a harsher ride.

I have the right size tire and the tire shop said the Michelin's that I have are what he recommends.. If any one is getting a smooth ride, what tires are you using, or can the suspinsion be adjusted??????

I have P225/60R16 97V Michelin's Energy MXV4+ on my 98' Mark VIII LSC and have never been happier. You might want to get another alignment with a technician at your dealership who knows what they are doing. My shop foreman recommended these tires for my Mark and he took personal care that they were mounted and aligned correctly and the result is http://www.lincolnsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Actually Michelin Symmetry's are the smoothest tires out there.

Lincoln uses Symmetry's exculsively for the Town Cars, thus giving them that buttery smoooooooth Lincoln ride.

Check and see if your tire pressure is too high, because I can't imagine why a Town Car tire would be so rough.
