Are there any things to watch out for on the 1997-1998 Mark 8's? I had a Mark VII so I know all about air suspension and such. I know earlier Mark 8's had tranny problems. Do the later years have any?
Thanks,
Steve

The 97-98 models were IMHO the refinement of the 1st gereration models correcting some of the minor annoyances and noted transmission issues. The poor lighting was upgraded the HID system, solving a sore point with the 1st generation model also. A drivetrain vibration is a hit and miss problem exhibited by all Mark VIII's.

The only thing I have noticed about the 2nd gen Mark VIII's are their tendency to have water in the headlights and occasionally the taillights. As these headlights are quite expensive (but worth the money in my book), I would first look for that first.
