Well I finished installing the GT-40 intake tonight and also the ported heads.About 16 hours by myself...6 of which went into the porting work...Now the real fun begins.I have and had a few problems.
1.)Had an electrical fire at the starter solenoid...minor but it was actually a good thing as I FINALLY found my short circuit that was killing my battery.
Had to do a little(8 wires)rewiring but it is fixed.

2.)Upon firing the engine I could not get the engine to idle at all. I ended up pulling a vaccuum line and the engine will idle but horribly.I kept trying to find the source of the problem and found that the MAP sensor did not have a vaccuum line to it. So I added vaccuum and the idle quality immediately improved but still sucks sweaty goat balls. The engine is running now with a very BIG vaccuum leak(intentional mind you)in order to keep it running. The engine is so rich it will fry your eyes out.It seems to be running on the O2 sensors only.I have double checked every wire and connection to see if I missed something. As it stands now it sounds like I have a BIG cam in it.It runs and is very fast now but it loads up.
I am not sure where to even look for the answer so ANY help will be appreciated.

BTW I posted some photos of the swap on my site as well as some pics of the porting job. Gerry from B.I.C. did an excellent job on them!

Have you checked for engine codes?

Yeah I have NONE!
Leads me to believe the computer is fried.
Frank mentioned it may have happened during the short circuit.

Well my car is fixed and running great again...Thanks to the boys at Steeda who pointed out the problem before I opened the hood!I had a vacuum leak between the upper and lower intakes.I also changed the ACT sensor(computer gave me that one)I added an adjustable FPR and a pressure gauge as well,it is set at 40# for now I will play with it at Moroso some on friday.
Speed Density still in operation here guys.
The computer is fine with the mods I have done so far. This thing feels like I put a big block in it from what it used to feel like.Definately getting air IN,now I need to work on getting it OUT...LOL
Headers and Prochamber coming real soon!

That is excellent news. Be careful adjusting the pressure upward. Injectors have a tendency to become overloaded with excess pressure and choke off. Some injectors will completely malfunction under high pressures.
