V6 Manual and V8 w/Sport Pkg. have 17 x 7.5 in. wheels and (oddly) 235/50 V rated tires.

Who can verify that he has confirmed that (unfortunately) there is a 142/143 mph limiter in the PCM - and did not break any speed laws in the process.......

Dunno if I qualify as an LS expert. Just an enthusiast – who bought his LS to drive with (ummmm) spirit?

Anyway, I took my LS V8 to a place just outside Charlotte, NC (I live in Greensboro) that has a chassis dyno. While ‘strapped down’ against the dyno rollers, I ran a ‘top speed pull’. And, sure enough, it stopped pulling at an indicated 142/143. It sure got to that 'speed' quickly. I snapped a pic as I was accelerating past 120 – interesting shot, with speedo at 120+ mph - and a solid garage door just in front of the hood.
