All car manufacturers begin obsoleting low turnover (poor selling) parts after about 3 years. For example, the front control arms for the '84-'86 Mustang SVO were obsoleted in 1988, just 2 years after they were built. The hoods for the 2001 Cobra R are already discontinued...and I know one owner who's very upset!! Many body and interior parts for the 1996 Chevrolet Corvette are out of production already, including wheel center caps, emblems, carpeting, door panels and leather upholstery in unusual colors. If they continued to produce every part for 15 year old low production cars like yours, they would go bankrupt or the new car buyer would have to absorb additional cost overheads (inflated price). No car companies do that, not even Toyota and Mercedes. There are salvage yards all over the world that specialize in locating and selling used parts for older cars through internet and local sales. Good luck.

Yeah, you'll have to spend the $$$ and get the sensors from a junked Lincoln. I got temperature sensor out myself from a 1987 Conti and the part only costed me $1.
Unless you can find a place where you can pull your own parts, prepair to spend a large chunk of money for those sensors. Good luck!

I have a 1985 Continental with a screwy climate control. It won't shut off when you press off; it will go to full blast. On the lo setting, the fan speed does not go to lo until the engine is warm. What do I need to fix this? Do I need a new climate control?

I recently fixed the air blend door actuator for about $2 in parts (excluding shipping). I'll post detailed instructions and part numbers in the next week or so.

Go to the tech section of this website for a "how to" diagnostic for the climate control.
