I have a 1998 Lincoln Navigator and the leather on the steering wheel has started to turn a dark color. I think the leather is coming off. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement steering wheel, or know of a company that fixes this.

try a baby wipe on the steering wheel- if it is like my old 98 fi50 it will make it look like new.i thought mine was leather delaminating or something but it cleaned right up. harsh cleaners only harm the leather.

Go to 'American Stitches' online. They refurbish steering wheels to look exactly like new! They do great work. They are in Dallas, Texas.
It will cost about $250 or so, but as I always say..."That's a hell of a price to pay for being stylish." (What movie is THAT line from?)

Thanks about the wipe idea. It worked somewhat. I'll use those for now on.

If the wipes weren't strong enough, try a little bit of simple green degreaser (spray it in the palm of your hand and gently rub it in). I've found it really gets all the dirt out that our hands collect. smile.gif
Use a cloth to dry/wipe up the mess that comes out. Just don't go crazy with the towel...its like sandpaper compared to that leather. smile.gif
