I have new headlamp replacement bulbs for my 2001 Lincoln Navigator. It seemed like an easy replacement. The problem is I have the huge Grille Guard on the front of the vehicle and cannot pull the headlight casing completely out of the vehicle. Is there a trick to this since I have the Grille Guard? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

If you are just replacing the bulb and not the entire light, you do not need to remove the light. Ford uses a twist-lock socket for the bulb. All you do is twist the socket about 90 degrees and the bulb will pop out.

Do you have light guards in addition to the grille/brush guard? The light guards' small wires are sometimes removable as a unit and may be held on with phillips screws or bolts. Your brush bar that protects the light area may also be removable and would also be attached by bolts if it was not welded together to form a one piece guard. Be sure to take car not to touch the light bulb. A pair of latex exam gloves come in handy after you get the socket out of the reflector assembly and need to remove and install bulbs.
