Well, after a good bit of a struggle to get things together, I finally have installed a Superchip performance chip, an Air Force One filter and a sort of performance exhaust on my Wood.

The chip is a two position flip chip with side one having their normal 91 octane performance program with firmer shifts, somewhat advanced timing and a bit different fuel calibration. The side two is set up for 93 octane or better gas and has a much firmer shift program and seems to shift up at rather higher rpms based on throttle opening.
On either setting, all of the slush bucket shifting that is normal on most FMC automatics is now gone and on the "light" program it reminds me of my 427 Chev BelAir with a TH 400 stock and on side two reminds me of the same Chev with a lightly built motor and a shift kit. In two words, it shifts "right now".

The air filter is very classy looking with a replacement boot, a polished velocity tube and a good looking open/conical filter element. Very clean installation except for one rubber fitting/t valve that required a trip to the local auto parts store to get a PCV rubber fitting to make everything go together correctly. It does not give the intake noise rush that I got on my 99 Lightning but then it has been raining here and it is Spring Break so the roads are full and I have not really had a chance to wring it out real good.
As to the exhaust, I finally chose to go with a single Magnaflow muffler with a single inlet/dual outlet setup and then ran two pipes out to two baloney cut dual tips a la a Ferrari/Maserati looking setup. The tips are equally spaced under the bumper on either side of the trailer hitch. The sound is quite low and mellow and is not objectional at low and medium throttle but gives a very nice sound at full throttle. Some resonance in the cabin due to the composite bed (not sound insulated like my L was) but once you reach any sort of cruising speed it is almost like stock.

Again, due to rainy weather and lots of traffic, I have not had a chance to do much seat of the pants stuff but so far I am very satisfied with the setup I have. The weekend promises sunshine and 70 plus temps so I will get out on the interstate and see what she does there.

Only problem so far is that I did not do the final install, had one of my gearhead employees do that, and on the way home tonight the motor died due to the chip backing out of the PCM just a tad. Did a temporary fix but will do it right myself tomorrow morning.

Very impressive Bill! I have been meaning to get a chip for my Mark VIII to take advantage of the better shifts and more timing, and the the toggle switch for the Superchips sounds nice.

I wouldn't be surprised if a single sheet of dynamat on the underside of the bed would cancel the drone. When I put it on the doors/floors of my 1988 Cougar the drone went down significantly.
