I have a 1998 Navigator that wears the inside of the Left Front tire in a scallop.
I rotate the tires and regularly have the wheel alignment and tire balancing done.
What should i look at next?

Try a new alignment shop.
Really!
4X4s have a tendancy of shortening the life of tires, I really don't see it being that bad.
If you get a print out make sure the settings are close to the center of spec. some places will set one side high and the other side low resulting in a vehicle that is way off but in spec.
Lastly make sure your suspension and steering componants are tight and not bent, and fully funtional. (steering stabelizers, shocks, etc.)
Take it to a shop that is known for really checking it out, tell them to call you before any repairs are done. They will check it out and give you an idea of what is wrong, you then can decide if you want to tackle the problem or let them do it and be done.

Welcome to the forum, Kick your shoes off and stay a while, unless your feet stink then I ask you keep them on.

:D

P.S. I think this will get moved to the truck section. I am sure the people there will love to have a new member.

Are you running stock wheels? Larger wheels tend to wear funny no matter how you balance them and align the car.

Have a mechanic check for play in the wheel bearings or any other suspension bushing problem.

Hey peterp, you live in UAE man, don’t take it to some whole in the wall shop. Take it to a dealer. Have them check the upper and lower ball joints and inner and outer tie rods. If they are out of wack it’s causing the alignment to go off. Also, is your steering wheel straight when you are on a straight highway or its a little crocket? Let us know.

P.S. Welcome to the board smile.gif
