How/What do you guys feel when you are driving in your Navigator and stopping next to other cars?

What other SUV is there? I think Steven summed it up pretty well. What he left out was, put a Kenne Bell supercharger on it and you end up with a 14.8 sec @ 91 mph luxo sleeper. That will beat my 91 LSC by almost a second in its current trim. As for how it feels when I drive it, I did not buy it to stroke my ego. I purchased it, 2001 4WD model for MN winter duty, because it drives (and almost rides, it is a truck after all) as nice as any luxury car I've ever driven. As far as handling, it does not feel nearly as big as it looks. It is also fun to drive even in stock trim, if I did'nt know any better I'd swear that Lincoln put a 2200 rpm stall torque convertor in the thing.

Mark.

Hi everyone!
I have been driving my 03 Navigator for 3 months now, the reason I choose the Navigator over other SUVs, especially the Escalade, is because all the nice features on the Navigator, the Escalade still does't have a navigation System, (it will in 2003, but don't want to wait that long...). The new Navigator got a nicer interior than the Escalade and most other SUV. And I love the power running board and the very useful power fold flat 3rd row seat. I think I may trade my Navigator for a new one after 2 years from if the new one has DVD navigation, telmatic system and more horsepower.

Ever test drive the BMW X5 4.4L?
10 less hp, but 1000+ lbs lighter, less money than a comparable Navigator, handles like a BMW...
I have worked at both BMW and Lincoln dealers, I love both vehicles (the X5's and Navigators), but no offence, I'd spend the money on a X5 (well, not the 3.0L! lol)...

Try putting anything larger than a grocery bag in the X5 and you'll see why the 'gator is a bad-ass truck. If I remember correctly, the X5 (seats up) has less cargo carrying capacity than a Ford Taurus! According to Edmunds.com:

BMW X5: 16.1
Taurus: 17.0

For an SUV, that's just sad. The X5 is really more of a jacked up 5-series or a really trick minivan. :D

lol, true, it doesn't have much room in the back esp for a SUV...
The Sable and X5 still both hold more than our Marks do thou, heheh ;)

my family does have a X5 4.4, it is a great SUV own by my uncle, I love that car, but I still prefer my Navigator better, since speed and handling is not important elements for me to choose a SUV, I also have a Honda S2000 and I can drive my mom's Lexus SC430 sometimes too.
