Hello. I have an 88 Continental Signature with air struts all around. I recently blew out a rear bag and was wondering about the spring conversion kit. I've seen these retail through severak companies for around 500$. I was wondering if the struts and springs from another car, such as a Sable or Taurus would work instead of the conversion kit. Any ideas?

Taurus struts are not a direct fit. Additional holes must be drilled for the rear struts.

Moreoever, Taurus struts are not designed for the heavier Continental, so I would not recommend them.

I had the Monroe kit installed for me: the ride isn't as plush, but it is comfortable and not a tank (will be a bit more firm when you first try it until it 'works' itself in.)
