This will probably be easier answered by one of you that has had the engine out of one of the continentals.
I have a slow power steering leak behing the engine. It tends to get on the exhaust man. and make a little stinky smoke. two questions... #1 does anyone know what might be leaking, and where? and #2 can anyone tell me how that smell is coming through the fire wall and out my heater when it's on?

It more than likely is a valve cover gasket leaking.
The oil runs down the edge of the head and drips off right on the exhaust pipe. It then runs down to the Cat. They get really hot so it would make a lot of smoke.
There can be enough smoke to come out at the edges of your hood and be sucked into the heater air intake.

My '91 is doing the same thing it is the high pressure P/S hose that leaks where the hose meets the tube just before the rack-n-pinion. I have been adding fluid till I can change it.
I think mine started leaking because of what I call a lower motor stabilizer mount that looks like a small dog bone that is on the lower back side of the engine, it is worn out and my motor rocks back and down as I accelerate. I contacted the ford dealer here and they have no idea what I am talking about and NAPA doesn’t have a listing either. If any one has any information on how I can get my grubby little mitts on one I sure would appreciate it.

Steve,
I have a 90 Conti and am trying to picture the part you are talking about. There are only three mounts, two on the front of the motor on the passenger side and one under the transaxle on the drivers side. Where does it connect on the engine and frame?

I haven't been back under the car, no garage at home and no chance at work.
It is not a mount from what I see it's just a small rod with two rubber impregnated eyelets on each side just like shock absorber ends. It is about 5"/6" in length and is just off center on the passengers side of the engine rear and goes to the K frame as far as it's job in life all I see it can do is keep the engine from twisting
