I'm going to have to replace my stock exhaust system soon, and was wondering if there are headers to fit the 400 in the car, and what size of pipe i should run for the exhaust pipes themselves as i'm going for true duals.

Also what would be a good set of mufflers to run, i don't want a lot of interior noise but something that will bark when i put the pedal down.

Any help or input is appreciated! smile.gif

I doubt anything but a custom-made header will clear your steering box. The mid-late 70s Fords have a rear facing box that screws up our chances of using headers designed for newer or older Fords. Been there, done that. :(

I like Walker Super Turbo mufflers for a quiet rumble. Summit makes a clone of the super turbo for much less, but its not stainless steel. Stick with 2.25-2.5" diameter pipe (should be about $300 or so) and you'll be set.
