I was cleaning my baby's interior today and since my neighbourhood is very quiet, I can hear everything. Whenever I would sit in the back seat, the car's rear would creak. It's like when you sit on a couch and you can hear the springs creak and what not. When I would get out of the back seat, the car would creak again like it was lifting back up. I know when a couch does it, it's nothing serious. I'm just hoping the same can be said for my car. I have strong feelings it's nothing big but, since it's a Lincoln, I just wanna make sure from best of the best people! ;) :D .

my old 98 had similiar problems that turned out to be the rear sway bar bushings on the frame rail(under the brackets). a little synthetic lube took care of it.

you could also try lubing all the bushings on the trailing arms, lower arms ,etc.

Our Continentals do that. It's the rear parking brake cables rubbing on something. After many attempts to fix it at the dealer, it's quieter, but not totally gone. Sometimes I can hear it.
