The first day I drove my 01 Navigator, after returning from a trade show in Chicago last week, we had one of our famous March warm and raining in the afternoon and drop to 10* by evening weather patterns. When I got home from work that evening and shut the ignition off I noticed that the climate control blower was still running after the radio had shut off when I opened the door. The only way I could get it to shut off was to turn the ignition back to run and then turn the climate control off before turning the ignition back off. After sitting in the garage overnight, when I got to work the next morning and shut the ignition off the blower did shut off, with the climate control still on, but I could hear a series of random clicks from a relay under the dash until I again cycled the ignition to turn the climate control off. It warmed up above freezing that afternoon and the problem has completely gone away and has not returned since. Has anyone else who lives in a cold climate experienced anything like this with their Navigator? Any ideas? It seems strange to me that a frozen moisture problem would not have thawed out from having the heat on inside the vehicle on my way home that night. Unless Ford mounted the relay behind the grill next to the outside temp sensor. :D
Edit: The display on the climate control did completely turn off when the blower was still running.
