What do you guys think of LS wheels on a Continental? Do you think it would be a more affordable approach at aftermarket wheels? I'm not seriously thinking it but rather surprised that they'd fit. The pic isn't at the greatest angle but enough to see how it would look. I'm just contemplating if this would be a cost effecicent way to say good bye to my stock wheels and still save up for those 20" Enkei's that I want dearly smile.gif .

LS wheels aren't any better, they are still skinny. And since its RWD, the offset will be a little tweaked. Or it might not work at all.
Question: If you wanna save for 20s, why would you buy LS wheels in the first place? Just save up for the 20s now!!!

Now the post makes sense. It comes together nicely smile.gif ! Trust me Pro, with what I earn and spend, it'll take me a good amount of time to get THOSE particular wheels. It's all good. Just an idea and I thought I'd post the question for anyone else who lurks and roams looking for ideas like this and stuff. I'm doing them all a huge favour :D

SC,
I can dig it. But I would save up for what you REALLY want. And something doesn't look right up front, the LS wheels seem sunken in too far. Just my $0.02. smile.gif

They're too small. Get the 17" sport package wheels if you're going to go for LS wheels. The again it might look weirder. If only Lincoln made the polished wheels and the chrome 6 spokes in 17 inch diameters...

I've been thinking along the same lines about LS wheels on my '98. A tire/wheel dealer in my area has a set of the painted LS wheels in like-new condition. I stopped today to look at tht wheels and talk to them.
They checked and the bolt pattern is the same as my OE wheel. Looking at the wheel it looks like it will fit the FWD configuration but it is a 16x7.5 (the OE is 16.7 - I think). Will 225/60/16s fit the wider wheel?
The dealer said they would mount one for me to check the fit and see how it looks. They will trade my OE wheels for the LS wheels and $200 if I decide to go that route.
I'm also looking at mounting 4 Michelin HydroEdges or new Goodyear Assurance tires (comes in 2 tread styles - 1 for luxury cars and 1 similar to the HydroEdge). The Goodyears will be out in March and April. Take a look at http://www.goodyear.com. Goodyears have a 80,000 mile warrenty and should cost less than the HydroEdges.
