speaker question (not lincoln related)

my parents have a 1990 and 1991 chryslers with the infinity sound system.......i am trying to sell these cars for my parents, but both the stereos have bad speakers. i dont know if you are familiar with this setup, but the speakers have individuall amps mounted to them.
my question is can i somehow replace these speakers with regular speakers? the front speakers in both cars emit a buzzing sound.

Have you called the boneyards yet? I'm not familiar with that system but if I was in your shoes, I'd find out what models and/or years used that system and check around at the local junkyards.

Amps? Are you sure?

I've seen "filters" that look like small transformers mounted to speakers, never amps.

My Bro in law builds Chrysler Infinity Amps, their just like all the others in general appearance.

I'd grab another speaker, connect it up and test the output.
