I just purchased a 97 Towncar Exec. Car only has 57000 miles on it and like new (belonged to the local Catholic Church). I want to add a CD changer, but the Exec does not have the factory CD capible head. I bought a Sony CD changer with FM modulation. This towncar has what appears to be an amp in the trunk, and looks like the anntinna connection is there also. This will make it eazier to connect the anntinna to the CD FM modulator if this is true. Has anyone out there installed an FM modulated CD Changer in there ride......

I was hoping one of the TC guys would jump in here but I also don't wanna leave you hanging forever. You might want to contact one of the guys involved in this discussion directly: TC CD changer discussion (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=19&t=000107)
If you have any specific questions, you can post back here and we can probably get you threw it. All the connections you need should be available right there in the trunk. The way I understand it, your car's radio is actually located in the trunk. The dash unit being just a controller.

Hi Mr C
There is a lot of info on audio upgrades on the forum try doing a few searches for "JBL", "CD Changer", "Amplifier", ETC.
Check out THIS (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=001769) thread for details of the possible location of a pre-wired CD connector.
Excuse my ignorance but, what is a FM modulated CD player?

An FM modulated devise uses unused bandwith on your Radio's FM receiver through the car's antenna. You don't need to actually have an input on the radio to use one. The modulator does need to be able to put out it's signal on unused bendwidth so careful selection of a unit that matches to your local radio stations is required.
