Any main stream name brand amp should work. Do you know the voice coil resistance and number of coils? There's a few features on amps that might be worth looking for one that has them. Things like subsonic filters and built in crossovers.

Like was posted. If this is a DVC sub, then I would look for a mono-channel 'subwoofer' amp that is stable at 2-ohm output.

As far as cheap, that's really all up to what kind of sound quality you want. This is a sub so fidelity isn't such a big issue and a cheaper amp will probably work, such as a Profile, Jensen, Lightning, or Pyle amp. These are all fairly inexpensive and will make a sub thump, assuming you match the amp's power output potential to that of the sub's power handling.

For cleaner sound, look into Rockford Fosgate or Pioneer or Alpine, though the latter I would reccomend more for a full-range speaker that you want accurate reproduction from than for a subwoofer, for the money.

I've learned that when it comes to amps, you really get what you pay for.

Like Desert Stallion said, Alpine and Rockford Fosgate are both great brands. The cheaper you go, generally, the lifespan of the amp is limited. It seems fairly common to have amps burn out, whether this is from car vibration or what not.

My only advice would be that you get what you pay for, and make sure you have your sub mounted right in the right size box - anything worth doing is worth doing right. (Ever seen a 12-inch sub in a box the size of a shoebox? Lol. I have, and it eliminates the purpose.)

Get a Kicker amp off etronics.com. They are a good amp and you can get them new for much cheaper online. I'm also a fan of Alpine. Just check out places like etronics, regardless of what you buy. The price is soooooooo much better.

Make sure you buy that polk momo in the tuned enclosure. They sell them separate. The momo is very sensitive to enclosure size since it was origionally tuned for its plexiglass enclosure.
