Installed in my 2000 Cartier L. I have everthing hooked up but my VSS wire. Can someone provide me with the color code of the Vehicle Speed Sensor wire and it's location?

I can't answer your question but would it be possible for you to post a pic of the installation? I looked your unit up on the internet and would be very interested in your comments.
I've been considering the Gamin Talking Street Pilot III, it gets great reviews and can be removed from the car easily to prevent theft.
I couldn't tell if the Pioneer fits in the dash or elsewhere?

Wow, that is awesome. Perfect addition to a Cartier L. Sorry, I am not much help either, but you can either get the VSS from the engine computer or the speedometer cluster. Did this when I added a trip computer to my Cougar.
Anyone with a 2000 Town Car EVTM manual can look this up for you. See if you can talk a Ford tech into letting you "borrow" the EVTM from your local dealer. Or just get one off of Ebay or Helms online.

I think that is the system I helped my friend install in his Hyundai Elantra. The navigation system is a very cool, but expensive toy. The voice commands seem to work really well. We tapped into the VSS wire right by the transmition on his car. You can bypass the nanny that only alllows you to use the DVD player when the vehicle is stopped if you ground the parking brake sensor wire. We did it on his car and it works great. Best of luck!

Thanks so much for al the help. I finally found the right connection. I'll post pictures soon if I can figure out how to do it. The only thing I dislike is that I lost my steering wheel radio controls and the rear seat radio control. Also trying to solve low volume problem in front speakers.
