CD Player

Alright when I first bought my car there was a CD remote by the steering wheel that ran a wire to the trunk to hook up a CD player. I figured great when I bought the car because it saved me the trouble of installing one. smile.gif But yesturday I stopped by the tweeter center and they said they don't carry andy Prestige audio equipment I also tried a local place they don't have one either. Where can I find a Prestige CD player so it will be compatible for the adaptor. :eek: Any suggestions will help. smile.gif

Ok so let me double check, you have a separate controller for the CD player on the dash, but the CD player (changer) in the trunk is gone, or the magazine that holds the CD's is gone?

If it is the CD changer, you cannot get a CD in dash deck to run with an RF modulated CD changer 90 percent of the time they are separate.

If it is just the magazine, you can order that. Prestige is just audiovox. Same company. Check out audiovox.com look for ordering phone numbers, get the model number for the changer and they will send you one.

Prestige is audiovox and I found the CD remote in my car on the website, mthere's CD players a plenty there that are compatible to the system in my Conti's trunk. smile.gif :D

I used to work with their rampage brand at ABC. They are not bad but the ones we carried were factory replacements. You may have to go about 100 something to get something decent in audiovox. Dont get me wrong they are not defective but i would get an extended warranty if you can.

Are the Rampages compatable with the Prestige Audio equipment? Do I have to buy a Prestige CD changer? Sorry for all the questions but I want to be absolutely sure. Thanks. smile.gif

As far as i know the rampage and presitge are the same thing with different tags, but to be sure i would get the prestige to match the prestige. In being audiovox it is possible they are a bit different. Besides that prestige is a much better brand inside audiovox than rampage. I appreciate the questions, it gives me something fun to do after work.
