I've got an 86 Conti and I was wondering if anyone knew of a specific location on the firewall where I could run a 4 gauge power wire through for my amps. I would prefer the driver's side. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks....

I remember there being a few grommets available on the driver's side of the firewall. One is in the corner close to the top of the strut towers, another is lower, near the steering shaft.

The best place to run a power wire in 1984-1987 Continentals is by the steering shaft. There are screws that hold the steering shaft rubber boot to the firewall. Remove one of these screws and you have a starting point. You should try to use one of the holes to the far left. The ones on the right come closer to the exhaust manifold. Good luck!

On my 87 there is one big rubber grommet that I have run like a million things through including 8 guage amp wire, tach wires, fog light wires, mechanical temp guage sender and maybe more.
