Does anyone know anyone who repairs the factory unit? I opened a work order with Sony in Farmington Hills, MI only to have it shipped back unrepaired. They said parts were no longer availible due to it's age. I'm waiting for FedEx to deliver it back to me so I can read the invoice to see if Sony detailed the problem.

I have found local shops that will rebuild your unit for $200-400. Ask your Lincoln dealer which place they go to get these out-of-warranty stereos fixed.
The local place here in Houston fixes Radios and gauge clusters and other high dollar automotive electronics...so check in the phone book for a place like that too. smile.gif

I just had mine fixed less than two months ago at Eastern Electronics in Hackensack, New Jersey. $225 Works fine now. Since it's built by Sony, they had to send it out to them. However, since it's an OEM unit, I don't think Sony can take it in from you or me. I think it has to go through the proper channels, such as a place like Eastern that services OEM equipment.
These units aren't exactly easy to come by.
