The premium sound amplifier under the parcel shelf in the trunk might be bad. Check it's fuses first before replacinging it.

Nicks got it bro. You probably blew a fuse or it got messed up with the bad display unit.

checked fuse and looks to be fine is it the amp itself?

It quite possibly may be the amplifier.
Do you get any kind of popping or noise or anything at all? Did you check both fuse boxes (if the mark has two) I do believe the large jbl amplifier that is used rarely in the older TC signature has a fuse on the side of the amp as well. Keep us posted.

yep sounds like a bad amp, do you have any buddies with an old mark 7 amp layin around to test or replace?
At this point you may want to think of getting an aftermarket radio unless you really want to keep the factory, better sound and CD player, sweeeeeeeet.

Can you pop the old Head Unit back in? If there's still static through the speakers with that one, I would guess you didn't damage the amp and still have a HU problem.
