Anyone here know about Drivesoft? It is an in-car computer that can do navigation, dvd, playback, cd, MP3, video, tv tuner, internet, email, etc... Anyways I think that I have decided that this will be what I put in my car once I get a job.

I am still in school and I just recently got a new 2004 LS. I have an internship with the gov't which is how I pay for it. I have been doing research to find out what I can do to my car, and I have decided that Drivesoft is what I am going to do once I get a job next year when I graduate.

I'd like to hear what other people think about the drivesoft though. I know it is expensive, around $3500, but I think it would be so worth it.

you can build your own carputer for $1000 and it will do everything that drivesoft does

Actually I originally saw it on one of those TLC shows about cars. Not sure if it was 'Rides' or what. Anyways, how the hell can you make your own for cheaper? The thing is touch screen first off which makes any other option a lot more expensive. Any good navigation system from the start is gonna be at least $1000. I don't see how you can possibly get a complete "clean" package for cheaper. What I like about it is that it is everything in one. I would have to have a CD/MP3 player, DVD player/navigation, satellite radio,a tv tuner and then satellite internet too. All of those would be separate things other wise.
