broken ashtray lid

I have a 97 Mark VIII with a broken ashtray lid. What is required to replace it? Do I need to replace the entire console?

I'm not sure, as I've never looked at a Mark VIII's ashtray lid setup. If it's anything like my Mark VII's, it depends on just how broken it is. If it's fallen off the pins or whatnot, you should be able to get it back on fairly easily, but if it's shattered in a trillion pieces, yeah, you're probably going to have to replace it. As far as tearing the console out to get to it, again, I'm not sure - I've never looked at a Mark VIII's ashtray setup.
